"My Dad actually owned an agency working with persons with disabilities for quite a few years when I was younger. I loved working there because it was fun getting to know all the people and hearing about their lives and backgrounds. I eventually worked with a young man for many years whom I grew to love and still keep in contact with to this day!
I started this agency with my business partner because I have always loved working with people and have found greater fulfillment in working with those who have needed some assistance in which I was able to provide!
I now have a son who was born prematurely at 22 weeks, which left him with some physical hardships and lasting effects such as cerebral palsy which inevitably requires more attention and care. Although it is never an easy thing, I love my son and would do anything for him! Through this newfound personal experience, I have started to understand the feelings of the parents of the many people I have cared for over the years while working in this industry. There can often be feelings of uncertainty and fear for the future, as well as the desire to protect and keep my son out of harm's way. I now take this to heart in everything I do because each person we serve is a son or daughter of a loving parent who wants nothing more than the best for their child. In this, I have found a greater meaning and purpose in my work and I am even more proud to serve this community because of my experience with my own son."
